I used to race BMX and Mountain Bikes competitively when I was a kid but it has been years since biking. I recently was given a free Murray bike which is about the heaviest and junkiest bike I have ever ridden on. I used to ride Cannondale and Trek. Unfortunately with 300 dollars I know I am very limited for my selection.
What, if whatever thing can I get for 300 dollars or less that would be a decent bike? I ran across a gentleman selling a 2005 GT mountain bike with cyclops trainer and road tires/frills (odometer, etc) in a package deal for 250. I did a small research and it seems that would be a really excellent deal. Must I check it out? Or any other recommendations? It’s been awhile and I want to jump back into it now that I have located some excellent trails within an hours drive of my new location.
